Their ways of coping with trauma are too different to reconnect with the life they once shared before the catastrophe. Told in a poetic, calm, and laconic cinematic language, the film evokes a sense of fear and disorientation that lingers for years after nature’s apocalyptic blow - and explores what doesn’t simply heal after such an event, but slowly begins to find new form.
