With that coal mining in NRW dies and becomes history. How does a region deal with the fact that its identity is outdated and it has to find a new one? How does it feel to suddenly be no longer needed? In discussions with former mining workers and their families, VOM VERSCHWINDEN shows how an entire region is changing and how people and former employers are affected by it.
